Addo Elephant National Park Gate Times
Addo has separate hours for entrance gates, reception and game areas. Entering the park does not mean the game area is still open.

Game-area gates may use seasonal hours. Ask reception for the current times when you arrive.
Plan your arrival
- Main Gate and Matyholweni close at different times. Check which entrance is closest to your camp.
- If you are staying overnight and will arrive after closing, call reception first. Booked guests can enter before 22:00 if reception has been told. Arrivals after 22:00 need prior approval.
- Leave extra time at the end of a drive. Elephants can block the road and the thick bush makes animals harder to spot from a distance.
